mute drop 8:
trad.
and
bubble.
merf pulled out all the stops and stems. because we love you.
introducing our two new mutes for trumpet:
The trad and the bubble.
two wildly different harmons to cover you in any setting from broadway to modern orchestral rep. don’t say merf. doesn’t love you.
the trad and bubble are made from a similar but slightly more rigid version of the material used to make the gumby and the cup.
so while it maintains its flexible squeezable squishable nature, it isn’t quite as squashable as those two.
tell me about it.
-
still squishy, but also firm?
our same material as the gumby, but with more strength and rigidity, but still flexy. lets you get better purchase in the bell, allows for no dents, and a softer landing if dropped.
-
two styles
bubble and harmon.
together in perfect harmony.
buy one or both to cover all your bases.
-
squishy stem
no more loose stem, squishy stem made out of our gumby material goes in and stays in.
tasting notes.
-
The bubble.
louder and more resonant than a traditional harmon mute.
great for solo work, or ensemble work where you need to sit on top of the group sound.
smoky soft sound if you back off, loud biting ring if you press it.
-
< preferred mute for stemless playing
its real dandy at both…
-
both mutes
metal resonating tube - allows for the flexibility of sound
even feel across entire horn and dynamic range
great intonation at the top and bottom of both register and dynamic ranges
-
preferred > mute for stem in playing
although its great either way…
-
the trad.
our stab at fixing the gaps that traditional harmon mutes have. best for ensemble work.
sounds like a traditional harmon with modernized playability and evenness.
large improvements over traditional harmon mute without sacrificing the traditional sound.
